6th / 7th- Saint-Germain-des-Près
Spanning the 6th and 7th arrondissements,
Saint-Germain-des-Près is one of Paris’ most chic neighbourhoods.
The wide Boulevard Saint Germain, with an abundance of high-end shops
that reflect the tastes of its well-heeled residents, leads to the Saint-Germain-des-Près church.
However, historically the neighbourhood once played host to Sartre, de Beauvoir and Hemingway,
and still features many independent cinemas and galleries,
as well as an annual Jazz festival.
Restaurants: Alongside the tourist hotspots of Café les Deux Magots or Café de Flore,
Saint-Germain-des-Près features some real culinary gems,
including some of the city’s finest Italian cuisine at La Bocca della Verità, popular bistro La Ferrandaise,
and some of Paris’ finest ice cream cafés.
